About Shoshindo

Goal: If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.

The Shoshindo art is based on Jujitsu, a Japanese grappling combat system in which striking techniques are also incorporated. Shoshindo also uses a level system in teaching it's core materials, where each level builds on the one prior. This makes Shoshindo one of the easiest and most complete systems to learn, lending to its power in self defense situations.

Level 0 - Inoffensive escapes

Level 1 - Defensive escapes

Level 2 - Restraints

Level 3 - Minor disable and stun

Level 4 - Protecting others (Major disable)

Level 5 - Weapons training

The levels cover several ranks each (with the exception of level 0 which is continued to be taught alongside the others). Levels 4 & 5 are generally taught to the black belts.

Suitable for young and old alike, Shoshindo techniques and strategies enable the smaller to overcome the larger. Realistic scenarios prepare students for armed and unarmed defense against multiple attackers, weapon disarms, and animal attacks (particularly dog, moose. and bear).
